Caregiver Spotlight: Cory Bull
“It takes a village—and I’m proud to be part of it.”

Hi, I’m Cory Bull. My caregiving journey started when I was just 14 years old. My great-

grandmother, who was diabetic, fell and broke her shoulder. She moved in with my

grandmother, and that’s when I began helping with her care—staying overnight twice a week.

I’ll never forget how her face lit up when I made her sugar-free hot chocolate and cookies.

Seeing her smile filled my heart. She meant the world to me.

From there, it was one family member after another. Caregiving just felt natural—it still does.

It’s more than a job. It’s a calling. Our seniors deserve the best—we owe it to them to give back

with love, compassion, and support in their later years.

Working with Caregiver Group, Inc. has been a turning point for me. I get the independence of

being my own boss, but I never feel like I’m doing it alone. They handle the client assessments,

so I always know what to expect. I don’t have to worry about chasing down hours—and for the

first time in my career, I’m paid what I’m worth. There’s no big company taking a cut. Families

pay directly for great care, and caregivers can finally thrive.

One experience that really touched me was with a hospice client I helped transfer home from a

nursing facility. Her family was nervous, overwhelmed. After she was settled, she called me

over and said, “Thank you, Cory, for being here for my daughter.” She hugged me so tightly.

That moment reminded me just how important our presence is. She passed later that

afternoon—in peace, at home, surrounded by love.

Stephanie Parsons, who leads Caregiver Group, is one of the most compassionate people I’ve

ever worked with. She’s been a caregiver herself, and it shows. She understands what we face

daily and truly supports both her staff and her clients. Caregiver Group is exactly what it

sounds like—a group of people working together with heart.
